Welcome!

Icelandic Aviation Museum - "Flugsafn Íslands" - is at Akureyri airport in new building wich is over 2200 square meters. You can see all kinds of airplanes and other exhibits related to Icelandic Aviation history. In the museum there is also quite a lot of historical photographs that shows the history more than million words.

You are welcome to visit Flugsafn Íslands! This summer the opening hours is daily from 11:00 to 17:00 from 1st of June to 31st of August. In the winter time the museum is open on Saturdays from 14:00 to 17:00.

It is possible to open the museum on other hours by request. We specially welcome groups.
